Speech Examples
Welcome to
the audio section of the Reverse Speech website.
This site contains 1000s of examples of speech
reversals covering a wide range of topics from
politics to health, children and music, therapy and ufos to name a few. These examples are all
presented in a standard format. First, a small
section is played forwards, and then the reversal
is played at three speeds. Other than the speed change, there
has been no altering of the sound tracks or enhancing of the
sounds. Each backwards section is an exact reverse of the
forward section. You can test this by downloading the sound
files and reversing them yourself. The speed change is used
because reversals tend to run faster than forward speech and the
syllable count can often increase. Altering the speed enables
some people to hear the reversals easier. It does not alter the
sounds of the reversal.
(Please note, some
non-approved reverse speech websites use a system of stretching
the sound to slow the speed down. This keeps the pitch the same
but stretches out the syllables digitally. You can tell if this
is done by a minor digital sound in the reversal. This method of
slowing down the speed is NOT RECOMMENDED, as it alters the
original sound and adds syllables that are not present in the
original track. The official Reverse Speech software does not
use this method of sound stretching but rather uses true speed
change which lowers the pitch of the sound but preserves its
initial auditory qualities.)
Some simple
examples are presented on this page, and there are many more
reversals in our reversal library. Click here to go to

This site
makes use of a Real Audio and Video / Real Player streaming

this site. See the Real Audio
Web Site to get your own copy of the
required software. Most of the recent clips, however, are presented in mp3 format.
All you need to do is click on the link and the audio file
should play. Failing that you can download these clips and then open
them in your mp3 player.

 Neil
Armstrong Walks on the Moon
-
Everyone knows Neil Armstrong's famous
first words on the moon. But did you know
that they say something else when played
backwards? Armstrong's words, "That's one small step for man" reverses
to say, "Man will space walk."
This is a reflection of his
logical thoughts at the time. Man will
continue to walk into space. Download

Live
Commentary of the JFK Assassination
-
Listen
to a live commentary of President
Kennedy's motorcade route in Dallas,
Texas, right at the precise point the
assassination occurred. A speech reversal
occurs here that says, "He's
shot bad. Hold it. Try and look up."
This would seem to be the commentator's
thoughts at the time. Stop everything and
look around (for the gunshots?) Download

Sandra
Bernhard
-
Here is a section from a
video made by Madonna called Truth and Dare. In this
clip her friend, Sandra Bernhardt is talking about some friends she
saw the other night. The reversal gives us more information about
what happened that night. It says -
They pulled out the
grass -

Former
U.S. Senator Bob Dole resigning from the
Senate

-
This example contains two
sound bites from Bob Dole. The first one before
the New Hampshire Primaries. The speech reversal declares
his intention to be the 1996 Republican
Nominee. It says, "Hear the
man that you love do it." (and
indeed he did become the nominee) The
second sound bite is from his declaration
that he is resigning from the Senate. The
reversal confirms his genuine comments.
It says, "It's an honor" Download

Client
Speaks In Reverse to David
-
This
example was taken from a session David
conducted with one of his clients as they
discussed some of his reversals. The
soundtrack is played forwards then
backwards at three speeds, then the
entire track is played backwards. Note
how the reversal appears in the middle of
gibberish. The reversal says, "They
will serve you with life, David."
This is what speech reversals will do -
help us with life. Download
